There are moments in every wedding when I feel privileged to be sharing in really personal moments in people’s lives. In this respect, Karen and Clive’s wedding at the Plough Inn will be one that really sticks with me for a long time.
Throughout the summer we’d had nothing but amazing weather, but in the lead up to the big day the good weather seemed to have abandoned us and it looked like rain all weekend. For me, this wasn’t a problem. I photograph in rain, snow, or heat and being a documentary photographer, I capture whatever gets thrown at me.
So, the day before the wedding it chucked it down and the day after, it chucked it down. But for about 10 hours in between the rain stopped and we had amazing sunshine. Until the evening do when it chucked it down again, but by then everyone was dancing.
Weather aside, so much had happened in the run up to the day, it really is credit to Karen and Clive that this wedding not only went ahead, but was such an emotion filled and amazing day. The Plough Inn was a lovely venue, Adele and Julie delivered a relaxed and fun ceremony and the speeches were brilliant. Oh, and there were some killer moves on the dance floor.
Here are a few highlights. I hope you enjoy…
