I can think of worse ways to spend my time than chatting to lots of happy people and enjoying my wedding photography at Middlethorpe Hall in York. I’ve photographed weddings in York a few times now, but this was my first time at Middlethorpe Hall. I have to say, I loved the place.
The bridal prep and ceremony were in Nether Poppleton (again a first for me) and that’s just as nice, sitting on the River Ouse with (I’m told!) three lovely pubs.
Anyway, it was Georgia and Carl’s turn to get married with a lovely ceremony at St. Everilda’s Church and after that, we moved onto the majestic Middlethorpe Hall.
This wedding was possibly one of happiest I’ve ever seen…there was so much laughing (and then more laughing) it was unreal. The father of the bride held it together pretty well throughout the day, although see if you can spot the image below where the emotion get the better of him!
In a happy and relaxed atmosphere like that, its great to just mingle with guests and observe everyone enjoying themselves (without me interfering of course). In addition to this, the speeches really hit the spot as well. There were even some perfectly timed malaprops dropped in and these always go down well!
So, here are a selection of pictures from my day as Georgia and Carl’s wedding photography at Middlethorpe Hall.
Thanks for looking through these images. If you’re looking for relaxed and natural wedding photography, take a look at my prices or drop me a line.
Thanks so much Andy!
