I can think of worse ways to spend my time than taking pictures and chatting to lots of happy people on a sunny day in York. I’ve been a York wedding photographer a few times now, and I love the place. Well, technically speaking the bridal prep and ceremony were in Nether Poppleton, but that’s just as nice, sitting on the River Ouse with (I’m told) three lovely pubs.
Anyway, it was Georgia and Carl’s turn to get married at St. Everilda’s Church before we moved onto the majestic Middlethorpe Hall (that’s not too shabby either).
This wedding was possibly one of happiest I’ve ever seen…there was so much laughing (and then more laughing) it was unreal. In an atmosphere like that, its great to just chat and mingle with guests and observe everyone enjoying themselves (without me interfering of course). Oh, and the speeches hit the spot as well. There were even some perfectly timed malaprops dropped in…which always go down well!
So, here are a selection of pictures from my day as Georgia and Carl’s Middlethorpe Hall wedding photographer.
